Our partnership with People Activation Platform, Enboarder is a true testament to its culture of caring for its people, creating an environment where everyone can thrive both personally and professionally. 

With a vast majority of the Enboarder team aged between 24 and 40 years, Circle In will act as that one-stop-shop to support their people’s plan for parenthood, prepare for Parental Leave, return to work, and be a working caregiver.

Here are some highlights from a recent chat between our Head of Customer Success, Julia Bickley, and Chief People Officer at Enboarder, Laura Lee-Gentry.

Why was it important for you to invest in a program such as Circle In?

Enboarder’s passionate about caring for their people and creating an environment where everyone can thrive both personally and professionally. Strengthening our Parental Leave policy to be more inclusive and more expansive felt like a really concrete way for us to reflect our culture and action it in a very tangible, real-life way. 

The resources that Circle In offers are incredible for our teammates who are contemplating adding to their families in whatever fashion, whether birth, adoption, foster care, and then whatever family constructs, which was really important to us. Beyond children, we also have team members who have significant caregiver responsibilities, and we wanted to support all of those people with resources and access to content that could help them navigate what’s happening in their lives.

What problem is Circle In solving for Enboarder?

I did a bunch of analytics before I did the Parental Leave refresh and I was kind of surprised, but the vast majority of our employees are actually between 25 and 40 years of age. So, Parental Leave demographically is an extremely relevant life event that we wanted to anticipate and support in a very intuitive one-stop-shop, where people can access all of Circle In’s extensive support resources, which again, can help them prepare for Parental Leave, take Parental Leave, reenter the workplace after Parental Leave, all through Circle In. We’re actually, in trying to support them, we’re trying to give them a very simple, elegant, and robust tool. Circle In’s mission and culture align really well with that of Enboarder, so, a partnership just felt natural.

What are you most excited about the platform and the partnership with Circle In?

I’m most excited about what we can learn from Circle In and what’s resonating with our people. This is a first move that we hope to continue to refine and invest in and improve over time. So, I’m just really thrilled to embark on this journey and recognize, you know, that it’s going to be a journey. This is the big first move on Parental Leave is an important step. But it’s the first step and I’m just really excited to have our fingers on the pulse to learn and grow and get better over time.

What does success look like for you in supporting your families and caregivers?

That’s a really vast question, potentially, but if I try to boil it down I want all of our people to feel valued and supported. I want them to feel accepted and appreciated for their whole selves. Enboarder thrives if our people thrive, and the research shows that Parental Leave and caregiving are statistically one of the life events where people feel the most stress and they remember most deeply whether they felt supported or not during that process. So, for me, success is a diverse, inclusive, and thriving team and I think this program can help us deliver on that goal.
