Circle In is thrilled to announce our partnership with EnergyAustralia. For EnergyAustralia, it’s important they can attract great people and chose to partner with Circle In to support their overall strategy in creating an amazing experience whilst working for EnergyAustralia.

Here are some highlights from a recent chat between Co-Founder of Circle In, Jodi Geddes, and People & Culture Executive at EnergyAustralia, Jodie Haydon.

Why was it important for you to invest in a program such as Circle In?

Over the last couple of years we’ve been working really hard to create a culture that enables people to do their best work, but in a really sustainable way. So to deliver all their goals, learn, grow, but also with a focus on well being and living as well. We see this as part of being able to create a sort of culture where we don’t ignore what happens outside of work, because we know what happens outside of work absolutely determines what happens at work. It was part of trying to create that whole sort of holistic experience for people.

What problem is Circle In solving for EnergyAustralia?

We’ve got quite a lot of challenges – big, exciting challenges – as we move towards more and more renewable energy and decarbonize our business. It’s really important for us that we can attract really great talent that will help us with those challenges. People that want to be part of the energy transformation. People that are innovative, creative, and that we can actually keep them as well. So we’re trying to create a really amazing, irresistible experience for people at EnergyAustralia, and Circle In is part of that overall strategy.

What are you most excited about in the platform and partnership?

What I like about Circle In is it’s very inclusive, comprehensive, and there’s really something for everyone in it. It covers all the big milestones that we’re all well aware of like becoming a parent, but it also covers all the everyday challenges, some of the more mundane things, some of the things that we don’t talk about a lot, as well at work. Circle In covers things like menopause, financial security for women, as well as, all the things that we’re quite good at talking about too. I think the other thing is, it’s really accessible content, so you can dip in and out of it. It’s easy for people to use, and it’s a very practical tool, so it’s sort of just in your own time, have a look at it on your mobile, have a look at it in between meetings, so you don’t have to devote a lot of time to get what you’re looking for as well. We expect we’ll get really high take up for all of those reasons.

Why did you choose Circle In?

We’ve got a very diverse workforce at the moment and we want to continue that. We want to actually make sure that our workforce is able to do their best work. We also use the language, which a lot of companies do nowadays  around “bringing your whole self to work” and as I sort of mentioned before Circle In has lots of amazing content that we think will help every part of our workforce, and also support our people leaders, who perhaps don’t know how to have those conversations, who have the best intent and want to have those conversations, but perhaps are a little bit fearful on how to start it. So with that real practical lens that the platform has we’re hoping that it’ll support those types of conversations and help people leaders to start the conversations and also for individuals to drive themselves when they’re looking for help and for expertise.

I think that’s probably the other one is that we do really want to learn from the experts. We want to use the resources and the experts there and they’re some of the things that we think Circle In has which was behind our decision.

We are proud to welcome EnergyAustralia to our Circle and look forward to supporting their people in all of the moments that matter.
