Western Power, a company known for powering the lives of Western Australians, officially becomes the first company to partner with Circle In in WA.
Western Power recognises the importance of providing all employees with a safe, connected and flexible working environment that supports balancing work, life and family commitments and in promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce. They pride themselves in being champions of gender equality in all its forms through supporting mothers, fathers, grandparents and all those who provide care to children.
Through the launch of the Circle In parenting portal, to be called ‘Staying Connected’ internally, Western Power is actively helping their employees and their managers navigate a range of parenting needs. Tamara Brooker, Executive Manager, Business and Customer Service at Western Power backs this program wholeheartedly. She says, “as a parent, access to something like this platform when I started navigating the crazy world of parenting would have been fantastic. I know how important family is, and how important it is to juggle the work/life balance.”
Over the next few months, the company intends to implement more initiatives in addition to the portal to ensure their parents feel connected no matter what stage of parenting they are at.
This initiative is testament to Western Power’s commitment to their diverse employees, who reflect the community they work in, and a group that is crucial to them realising their vision of being at the heart of Western Australia’s energy future.
