Our co-founder Kate Pollard spent more than 5 and half years of her career with the team at REA and is proud to now welcome one of Australia’s most iconic names to Circle In. Here are some highlights from a recent chat between Kate and Mary Lemonis, Chief People Officer at  REA Group.

We are so proud to welcome REA Group to our Circle, tell us. Why was it important for you to invest in a program such as Circle In?

We talk a lot about moments that matter at REA Group. We want our people to have the right support and resources to get them through these moments –  whether it’s becoming a new parent, managing the complexities of juggling family life, caring for aging parents or perhaps supporting a family member who is struggling. We love that Circle In is inclusive and can help us support all of our people.

We want to ensure anyone on a parental or caregiving journey has a great experience. This includes the right support from their leader, the right information from REA Group, feeling connected to their team while on leave, and having a supportive and positive return to work experience.

What problem is Circle In solving for REA?

REA Group partnered with Circle In to ensure all of our people have great experiences. Circle In allows us to give our people and leaders the tools and resources for the moments that matter in their parental or caregiving journeys.

What are you most excited about the platform and the partnership with Circle In?

We are excited to give our people and leaders more confidence in how to navigate their journeys as parents and caregivers.

The real stories from employees really support that, being able to hear from our people and their different experiences and being able to highlight these can help normalize topics that may still have some stigma.

What does success look like for you in supporting your families and caregivers?

We want our people to feel better supported and equipped to navigate the complexities of balancing work and home life.

We hope this means improved parental leave experiences, engagement, and retention of our people.

 Why Circle In?

First and foremost we love that Circle In is a global first solution and one which supports our hybrid way of working at REA Group.

We love that Circle In helps us build upon our market-leading parental leave experience and broadens out the support we offer to other journeys for our people.

Finally, we are inspired by Australian start-ups and organizations that are as values-driven as we are at REA Group.

So for us, it was a no-brainer!

We are proud to welcome REA Group to our Circle and look forward to supporting their people in all of the moments that matter.
