Multinational law firm Ashurst has been commended as one of the top legal practices for diversity and inclusion, backed by Circle In’s Parents Portal.
The FT (Financial Times) Innovative Lawyers Europe awards 2019 ranked Ashurst in sixth place for diversity and inclusion, citing the launch of its Circle In global ‘Stay in Touch’ program to support staff and line managers through parental leave.
Referring to the program, The Financial Times said: “Stay in Touch gives people access to academic content, case studies, online coaching and alerts for specific dates and deadlines. Fifty-four people have participated so far.”
Ashurst launched the Circle In portal across the APAC and EMEA regions in early 2019.
”Supporting working parents is a core focus of Ashurst’s diversity and inclusion action plan and allows our firm to build a more diverse and inclusive culture. At Ashurst, we want to ensure that our working parents and parents-to-be have the support to help them thrive and develop in their careers and our partnership with Circle In is critical to achieving this,” said Kasey Zun, Ashurst’s Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion.
“From sharing the real stories and experiences of Ashurst parents to the expert content that the Circle In team offers, our parents at Ashurst have access to the tools that suit their needs,” she added.
Circle In’s co-founder Kate Pollard said, “The recognition of Circle In’s contribution by the FT awards is an indication of the growing global focus on caring for working parents. We’re delighted to see Ashurst win this award and are proud of partnering with the firm to help it achieve its goals.”
