How a partnership with Circle In has helped Art Processors create an empathetic culture for its global team
About Art Processors
Art Processors is a global experiential design and technology company for cultural and tourism organisations. It offers specialist interactive media and exhibition design services alongside a technology platform that makes it easy to deliver, benchmark and continually improve visitor experiences.
The challenge
With a remote workforce spread across Australia and the United States, Art Processors was looking for an innovative solution, so all its working parents and caregivers felt safe and supported in the moments that matter.
The organisation also wanted to improve gender equity and recognised that in order to achieve this, it needed to provide additional resources and support to improve women’s workforce participation and normalise the sharing of parenting and caring responsibilities.
The solution
As a certified family-friendly organisation, Art Processors always looks for ways to create an even more inclusive and supportive workplace for parents and caregivers. Art Processors partnered with Circle In in 2020 to help make work-life balance more achievable for its team and build a culture where everyone is valued and heard. Parents and caregivers have full access to:
- Personalised employee journeys and expert advice at every life stage – everything from planning to have a baby to dealing with school holidays and avoiding burnout;
- Easy access to the Art Processors’ family and caregiving policies and benefits, all in one place;
- Expert advice and support for managers working with parents and caregivers; and
- Access to special subscriber offers.
Importantly, the platform is globally scalable – which is exactly what Art Processors needed for a distributed and rapidly growing team.
Our impact

- Art Processors was ranked in the top 10 on the 2023 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work list in the Technology category.
- There’s been a marked improvement in gender representation across the organisation, with 52% women, including 57% women on the executive team.
“Our workplace mirrors the broad experience of individuals in the world, and we develop and support relationships that recognise the unique roles each of us embraces in our personal and professional lives. We strive to enable each member of our team to shine by adapting to, celebrating, and prioritising the natural rhythm of each individual’s lived experience, and our partnership with Circle In plays an essential supporting role in that process.” – Mark Nihill, CEO
“Supporting our people to manage what are often two competing aspects of their lives – caring responsibilities and career – is a critical priority for our company. We wanted our parents and caregivers, no matter where they are located, to feel fully supported and able to bring their best selves to work.” – Vanessa Doake, Chief People and Culture Officer
